We’re in the very last stages of moving now - our old house is packed, and the living room is brimming with boxes. The movers are coming tomorrow at 8, and boy, am I pleased that we’ve got professionals in charge of that particular part! (And I’m sure my friends are pleased not to be getting the dreaded ‘plis halp move’ phone call - the true test of friendship!) The packing itself has been pretty grueling, with months of going back and forth between our home and the tip. My intention was to have everything sorted and tidy, but alas. You know what they say about good intentions - apparently sometimes they just aren’t enough.

Meanwhile, the new house is in a state of transformation. Our handyman is busy peeling off the wallpaper of the bedrooms, and the wood for the new floors has been selected.
